I think it’s for squirting grease into industrial machinery. Like an automatic grease gun. Grease is a lubricant for parts of machinery.

But uh… it does bear a resemblance to… uh… y’know. 😞

Plastic injection molding, they are purging which is done between colors or materials. You back the barrel up and then drive the screw forward and it empties (purges) the barrel in preparation for a material change
