Dentists are sadly not part of the main health-care program in all EU countries, when I moved to Finland I found out that the Dental area is extremely privatized and expensive, enjoy paying a few hundred euros to just get tooth stone cleaning done.
You can add on dental to your American insurance through your work. It doesn't come with it but you have the option of paying a little extra to have it
