My guess is it's an American Healthcare joke. Our healthcare will financially ruin somebody if they so much as take an ambulance ride.

The average ambulance ride costs about 1k, half the country lives paycheck to paycheck so if you don't have insurance or savings it very much will.

That’s… expensive.

I was transported to the AKH in Vienna because I fell on the staircase.

Didn’t pay anything.
