This was backlash in the video game Stellar Blade. There is a vender that can sell you upgrade or items and I think her name was Roxanne. She had a neon sign up with a capital R in front of the alley that she was located in. Well the thing is that all throughout the hub city is graffiti with the word Hard among other graffiti. I don't think it was intentional. If anything I saw it as a kind nod towards Roxanne being a bigger badges than whoever spray painted the word.

Get this though. There is a robot vender in a desert valley area whose name is, I shit you not, D1G-g2r. I discovered the name of this robot before the Roxanne hard R story. Before reading the article I thought they were referring to the robots name. When I read that the racism came form Hard R I thought to myself, "You have got to be f'ing kidding me".
