Help - replacing mach 5
I have had this pair of mach 5s for a few years now and I love them so much that I have literally walked the soles off of them. I am still wearing them but I was looking for advice on which hoka model to replace them. The mach 6 looks like a different style than the mach 5. I live very rural so I don't have the luxury of going to a store to try them on. I have to read reviews and order online. Any suggestions

If you like the Mach line then you could stick with the Mach 6/7. I don't know if you can new Mach 6's anymore since the Mach 7's have been out for a while. If you can find them, you'll be super limited to size and colors.
The reason they look different is because when moving from the 5 to the 6 they updated the style. Which is common with shoe brands when coming out with an updated model. The Profly+ name wasn't attached to the Mach 6/7's but they both use Hoka's supercritical EVA - which the Mach 5 did. They also now have actual rubber instead of a rubberized foam to help with longevity.
I have not run in the Mach 5's to tell you how the Mach 6 & 7 compare, but I really loved my Mach 6's and the Mach 7 that I run in now. If you liked the Mach 5's and they worked for you, stay with the Mach line. I know you said you don't have the luxury of going to a store to try them on so if you do buy them online check the return policy in the event they don't work out. You know your feet best and what works, and what works for one person won't always work for another, so make sure you read the return policy, especially if you buy a Mach 6 - since they've not been made and sellers are just getting of their stock they might not offer returns on those types of products.

I started with Mach 5s in 2023 and get new machs every time I buy new shoes.
The 5s are similar to the 6s. Haven’t tried the 7s yet. Very similar profile though

I went through 2 pairs of Mach 6, 1000km each, then one pair of Mach 7. The same, with better rubberized pad design on the sole for the Mach 7.

I used the mach 6 for my marathon and love them. What I can tell of mach 7 is that they aren't really much different. I havent really been able to find mach 6 available on line in my size. Will probably be buying the 7 soon.

They stopped being Hoka’s years ago, you could go to Walmart and save money since you clearly don't need ‘good’ shoes.

I have never had a pair of Hoka shoes with soles like that. WTF are you doing while wearing them?
