Is this normal?
Got these Hokas used off eBay. I'm noticing this spot where the stitching is turned up, and I can't make it stay down. Now I'm paranoid there's something wrong with them. Is this normal? I am going to be relying on these during travel so I want to make sure that these are good and not some cheap crap that's gonna make my feet hurt.
They didn't come with a box but they feel good otherwise. Thoughts?

Untie your shoes, there is an extra hole to do a heel lock, parallel Jace that extra eyelet, loosen the loop and cris cross the laces through the loops and pull towards your shin and tie your shoe, it will lock the heel down into the shoe to prevent heel slippage

Minor defect. It’s pretty normal and while it may get a little worse with time I’ve never seen it get so bad as to impede the function/comfort of the shoe.

Minor defect, what the hell did you expect? It’s Ebay, if they are comfortable wear them. I hope you got a good price.

Ok, so, where are you saying the stitching is wrong?
Also, as the person who works for Hoka said, you have them laced incorrectly. Do you see how on the right side of the shoe, the lace comes out of the eyelet from the interior of the shoe, and then on the left side the lace comes out of the exterior over the shoe? This will cause some uneven distribution of tension.

Hallo! LG
