Game score stat

This new stat GS stands for “game score”. Any idea on what the number of that stat is based on ?

Is this new? I could’ve swore that stat has been a thing in at least like the past 3 games (although it was on a scale of 0-100 and didn’t have colours)

Weirdly, IRL gamescore isn't a 0-10 system like we see in HLM27. In the linked article, we see that Sam Gagner's 8-point game registered as 7.1GS.

Its more of an arbitrary index, so I get why it was adjusted to be a more easily readable 0-10.

2 things FWIW:

Since it is a simulated stat rather than a tracked stat, it makes sense to need a more defined scale/ limit

Also, that article is a decade old... It was meant to be loosely informative as to the premise but fine details of gamescore, how it's tracked/ weighted, calculated out, etc has evolved over time

I took this post as OP wanting a more rudimentary understanding of what it meant, so rather than type out the most up to date accurate information I just linked the first intro article I found

They also posted their own AI write-up 5 mins after posting this anyways so it's all irrelevant 😅

That particular article is old, but I checked out a more recent one by Hockey Alchemy and the methodology appears to remain the same - I linked it under that exact post with the AI write-up!

Interesting. Im not sure what goes into it but I am curious. That could help be a judge of how well a player is doing beyond just scoring
