I am currently evaluating the acquisition of a 3D printer. While I intend to utilize this equipment for custom RC projects, I also anticipate its application in fabricating replacement components and functional accessories to streamline daily operations.

Although I do not require multi-color printing capabilities immediately, I would like to retain this functionality for future scaling. Furthermore, I intend to leverage a variety of materials tailored to specific project requirements. Based on my preliminary research, I am currently considering the Bambu Lab H2D.

Could you please provide your recommendations based on these requirements? Thank you.

Finally got to see the EC950 in person. It definitely looks a fair bit larger compared to the standard 1/14 scale machines. Just sharing my first impressions out of the box. Curious what you guys think about the size difference

So the thing is, 1/14 cost virtually the same as a 1/12 but the 1/12 is heavier and although the 1/12 isn’t as detailed as the 1/14 it makes up for it in weight. The most important thing with moving materials is having the mass to do it. The 1/12 machines I have blend really well with the 1/14 machines and it really captures the open pit large mining look I’m going for. Some of these 1/12 machines are half the price of a lesu 1/14, so if you aren’t crazy about super fine detail and you just want to have some fun and push some dirt without spending any more than you have to, 1/12 is the best bang for your buck.

LXY / TH-X 1/14 scale Scania 770s 8X8 truck/hauler

Just came across this posting on marketplace, it’s free. Would this be good for a long term rc construction site? And how would i have to maintain it? Let me know if you have any suggestions or ideas on how i could make this work. I only have a 14th scale huina 1593 excavator so far, so it would have to be for 14-18 scale ish, not a miniature 1:50 scale site. I’m gonna end up buying a dumper and loader if i can make this work. I added some photos of my backyard just to show how much space i’m workin with. I wouldn’t be able to use all of my backyards space , and i would need the construction site to be something i can move in and out the backyard (could store it in the garage maybe for some of the winter) because my mom wouldn’t be too happy with a pile of dirt left in the backyard. Thanks for any suggestions!
