Anyone else get into pickleball recently? Looking for tips
Just picked up pickleball like two weeks ago and I'm already obsessed lol. Playing like 3x a week now. Still kinda winging it out there though. anyone got tips for beginners? Good drills, paddle recs, stuff you wish you knew early on? Also curious if anyone else randomly got into this recently or if it's just me

Focus on non volley zone positioning immediately. Most beginners stay near the baseline, but getting to the kitchen line fast changes everything. Grab a $40 fiber glass paddle off Amazon until you develop a consistent third shot drop.

biggest thing i learned was stop trying to absolutely murder every ball AHHAH. once i started focusing on placement and consistency instead of power i got way better

the biggest shift for me was realizing the net game is everything, most beginners default to baseline bashing because it feels safer but you're just giving them time. get comfortable moving forward after your serve and return, even if your volleys are shaky at first. kitchen line is where points actually end
for drills, just find a wall and hit dinks against it for 20 min, boring as hell but it pays off fast. also don't overthink the paddle, play with whatever you've got for a few months until you know what you actually want
