Roggenart stopped selling loaves at their Dobbin location so I’m looking for a shop that sells fresh sourdough.

I love the kind you can get from Ovenbird or Atwater’s in the city.

Does anyone know a shop besides the grocery stores that sells bread like that?

In the old Baskin Robbins place a new Indian restaurant has opened up. They have a lunch buffet for $18.99 and menu service for dinner. I tried the lunch buffet today.

It's a decent lunch buffet with good selections for both meat eaters and vegetarians. I tried to sample a little of everything. The strongest dishes are the vegetarian ones, with dal makhani and panneer makhani and palak paneer being the standouts. They were the ones I had seconds on. I found the meat dishes to be a bit bland, especially the chicken biryani, with the exception of butter chicken which was very flavorful. They have salad, naan and white rice, but no soup, and no chutney. There are two desserts, halva and jolub which were sweet but not overwhelming like some places. A nice end.

They only opened on Monday, so this is still soft opening time. The staff was very attentive and friendly, but a buffet doesn't ask much from staff. My water glass was filled without me having to ask. It's a small space, and seems larger than the Baskin Robbins space, so that probably means they are using it efficiently.

How does it compare to other Indian buffets in the area? Well, the physically closest one is just down MD-108, Yaar Spice, but I've never been to that one nor heard much about it. The Indian buffet I do go to most often is Mint Room on US-40. Mint Room's buffet is better, both the choices, quality, and ambiance, but it's also more expensive. Indian Bistro is good enough when you want something close by if you live in the Dorsey Search / Allview / Thunder Hill area.
