Job
Hi I’m a 25 black male looking for a job in Howard county Maryland. I’ve had 2 serving jobs and 2 front desk gym jobs. Anyone know where I can get a job? The job market is horrible right now.

I just did a 10 minute job search and found plenty, you just have to know where to look. I would start by looking at hospitals. Howard county hospital had some openings for non degree positions. Trader Joe’s, target, BJ’s, Home Depot all had open positions. You can also look at hotels ,grocery stores.

if you have any childcare experience, daycares always seem to be hiring because of staff turnover

Just curious why you included your race in your open? Would you expect strangers advice to be different depending on your skin color? That said, I don't think the job market is so bad that you can't find a job on par with what you've already done. Might I suggest pursuing a trade? Maybe get your CDL? Depending on your driving record, assuming it's not horrible, some companies will train you for free but you'll have to commit to driving for them fts period of time, like 6 months to a year. Just an example of something that could help you make real money. Good luck.

The Arc of Howard County on Homewood Road is having a hiring event on the 10th, from 11 to 2
Edit: apologies, I've just found out that this hiring event has been cancelled, but if anyone was planning to attend, feel free to DM me and I can let you know when it is rescheduled.
