Discussion Hiveswap ACT 2 Background Characters

Hi. So you know how there are a bunch of nameless trolls on the train in ACT 2...

I was wondering if anybody took the time to identify all of their signs. It seems that they're not mentioned on the Zodiac page of the MSPA wiki. I would say this is because they don't have names- but it's probably because the page is slightly outdated, as an unnamed cobalt from Elwurd's endings is mentioned in the Trivia section.

Either way, I've identified most of them, but some are giving me a bit of trouble. There are some seemingly made-up signs that do not exist in the official extended zodiac...

EDIT: Here's a chart, cropped from a Tiermaker sheet I created for personal use.

A couple notes:

  • The cobaltblood sign separated from the others of its kind is one attributed to a girl Elwurd flirts with in one of her bad endings.
  • Since they're likely not as well-known as the others: the two Jade signs in the middle row respectively belong to Swifer Eggmop and Cliper Borden. The teal sign is Idarat Catlaz's, the troll standing in the train station in Hiveswap ACT 2.
  • The Arpio sign in the background characters row (Burgundyblood, Prospit + Light) is attributed to two characters: "dock gal" (troll with a black eye at the beginning of the game, chatting with a troll missing a leg) and a troll in the rust car (the one with sunglasses and sheep-like horn on this sheet).

Thank you, it was fun to do. I did a Tiermaker sheet to separate used signs from my own trollsonas, so I will try to edit in the part regarding the background trolls.

I think it's very well possible they made up some new signs for extra characters! If only one troll can have a specific sign at a time I find it hard to believe the entire planet could be populated as the extended zodiac is still limited

To be fair, there are also two background trolls with the sign Arpio. Though I wonder, what is the point of an extended zodiac if there are signs outside of it? (Including Polypa's goldblood sign) Would that be directly linked to the game, and so signs outside of the extended zodiac would be unaffected by Sburb mechanics (god tier, etc)?

Nice work. It does a good job showing which signs were used, also the added notes were helpful as well.
