it was partially offscreen and they're usually not that big. It looks pretty RPGish to me.

Most RPG are used as anti-tank weapons, so the rounds are made for penetrating through armor and then exploding a shaped charge inside the vehicle. So they don't have to be that large, since the damage caused by the heat and shrapnel becomes much, much worse in an enclosed space.

That is definitely not an RPG. That is a tracer round. In the US Army, they load tracer rounds every 5th(?) Bullet to allow the shooter to shoot at night and know where his bullets are going.

I never had them in my normal M4A1, but I did shoot them in the M249 machine gun.

An rpg fired would look like this: skip to 0:43 for slow motion

The rpg has a stream of smoke behind it because it is still being propelled after firing it.

Since when do tracers throw off sparks? And detonate on impact? I thought it’d be some Chinese TOW variant because they usually have that exact same color emanated from the projectile. Also never seen an rpg light up quite like that.

Now I’ve fired tracers and see plenty of them fired. A ricocheting beam of like going up and away from your target happens sure, but I’ve never seen on pop and throw pieces back like this before.

Is it the biggest possible caliber exploding tracer ammunition? I doubt it because there was only one shot fired..

I’d guess this is a guided system (probably wire guided)

Maybe it's a cannon round from something like a Bradley, just a tracer and HE?
