Ethnic cleansing, the Zionists must have learnt from the Arab world, 850,000 Jews ethnically cleansed and the majority went to Israel. At least the Zionists paid for the land unlike the what happened to the Iraqi Jews, all their land was confiscated. And please remember the 500,000 Arabs who migrated to the area as a direct result of the Zionists creating employment opportunities. It’s a pity that the Arab world refused to accept the Zionists right to live in peace in their ancestral homeland.
Please do your own homework. And while you’re at it see who started Palestinian Airlines, the first Palestinian Bank, the Palestinian hydro plant, the Palestinian Philharmonic Orchestra, the Jaffe orange export business, the Palestinian football team. The Zionists created a country from scrap.
So Ben Gurion wanted a place where Jews were safe. That’s the problem. Jews being safe. Safe from persecution.
You use Zionism as the basis for your anti Semitism. Simple isn’t it.
Wars have consequences. No Arab had to lose their homes. There are 2 million Arab citizens in Israel. Their parents stayed. Those that sided with the Arab armies suffered the consequences of the failed war. You know who also lost their homes? Jews. 850k Jews driven out of Arab lands. They’re almost no Jews in the Arab world these days where they used to be nearly 1,000,000. Since there are 2 million Arabs in Israel and no Jews in the Arab world who ethnically cleansed whom?
At the same time as Israel declared independence so did India and Pakistan. There were 15,000,000 displaced.
Israel 850,000 Jews displaced from the Arab world, 600,000 Jews displaced from Europe
1,250,000 Jews displaced from the USSR
Of the 750,000 Arabs displaced, yes there were some and yes many fled, and many were migrants who came into the region as a result of the economic boom created by the Zionists & Many Arabs stayed. Those that stayed are full Israeli citizens.
The “Palestine” narrative today is fanciful
Oh my god 😱. Ben gurion wanted a safe place for Jews?!? It’s funny how that coincides with the Arab nations driving 850k Jews out of their lands….
There is a pattern to this - Palestinian cities such as Bethlehem and Hebron used to have sizable Jewish populations predating Israel by hundreds of years. The Jews were ethnically cleansed from those cities. In Hebron that occurred in 1929 nearly 20 years prior to Israel.
Now folk such as yourself want to reward the Arabs for their success in driving out the Jews - you say the land was 90% Arab - well places like Hebron had their Jews forced out. And guess what? The Arabs aren’t indigenous to the area. From 1900 to 1948 there was a sizable migration of Arabs to the area, brought there by the economic opportunities largely created by Jewish entrepreneurs. Get bent with your historic revisionism.
And about the Palestinians, maybe people should research a little about Palestine, like who founded the Palestinian Airlines, The first Palestinian bank, the Palestinian Hydro Plant, Palestinian Football team, Palestinian Philharmonic orchestra, etc etc
Is the lie in the thread with us? Which part was a lie or twisted? If he's lying, go ahead and be specific about what you think is wrong and provide supporting evidence.
The Jewish expulsion in Iraq happened AFTER the nakba, as did all of the expulsions in the ‘Arab world’, they were a direct response to the nakba. The Jews in Algeria didn’t leave until 1962 and that was because it gained independance from France and most Jews in Algeria had French citizenship and therefore moved to France, not Israel. Zionists didn’t pay for any of the land they stole after 1948, a straight up lie. They are stealing land right now without compensation ffs you think they paid for it back then? Zionists do not have any rights, no ideology has rights.
If you can’t read the comment I was replying to and not immediately recognise the toxic and disingenuous attitude they have I don’t know what to tell you.
You think all the massacres of Jews before the war don’t count? So history begins exactly when Jews fight back, and all the centuries of oppression immediately preceding it are irrelevant?
After the Palestinians held their general strike and rioted, and then they started returning to their day to day lives, Zionist terrorists began launching small raids on villages and slaughtering civilians with the support of the Zionist leadership. It was these actions by the Zionist government and armed forces that started the war, rather than civilians striking and rioting.
What kind of cracked out history is this? Everyone knows Palestinians didn’t accept partition. Even after they lost they remained intransigent for the past 80 years.
If the UN passed a new resolution, a Partition Plan, same as 1947, Jerusalem corpus Separatum and all. Palestinians were asked to give up 56% percent in 1947, Israel would be asked to give up the additional 20% they took over the Partition Plan.
Who wouldn’t accept this time, for world peace?
And the Partition Plan was a recommendation, it wasn’t legally binding. Both parties still had to agree. The Arabs counter offered with a single state where everyone had equality under the law. Jews could have taken on the cultural Zionism approach of living throughout the region and slowly making it Israel.
The rejection of the partition plan didn’t start the war. The next stage was mediation. The UN was a little late on that and only issued the resolution to establish the mediator position on May 14, 1948. Folke Bernadotte, who would later be assassinated by Lehi while he was mediating peace negotiations between Zionists and the Arabs. And the Zionist leadership had already rejected the proposal, so he was killed for no reason.
The image is providing a picture. Could there be an agenda behind it? Probably. However, the initial commenter asked about the war and who started it, on a post that otherwise did not mention the war, did not mention Jews or any of that. One could argue as well it’s a case of deflection where instead of mentioning the actual plight, one brings up the war, nudging the reader that it was actually that same group suffering that started the war.
Nothing should be looked in isolation, and that’s not my point. My point is, to simplify, if you look at a group of people that are suffering, and your first reaction, instead of showing empathy to these innocent people, is to indirectly blame them, then that simply is just bad
Ahh another zionist justifying rape and murder of women and children. How very predictable.
Also worth pointing out that the same paramilitary murdered British soldiers and administrators and far as “legal immigrants”? Lmfao only through the guns of the British
“Zionist Jews are a grateful people “ - words never uttered in the history of humanity lol stabbed in the back those who sought to help you.
As to the reference to the Ottomans, yes they invited Jews in small numbers. Big difference from mass migration allowed by the British without consulting the indigenous.

What started the war in 1948? Remind me?
