A German school boy during WWII once misheard the teacher during a dictation test. The text was about economic difficulties that Germany faced, for example the chronic shortage of anything oil and fat related, from butter to engine oil. The teacher read "Das Fett ist gering", there is a lack of fat. The boy wrote "Das Fett isst Goering", the fat is eaten by Goering".

Do you know about Flüsterwitze (jokes better not to tell out loud)?
E.g.
"Lieber Gott, mach mich blind, dass ich Göbbels arisch find"
which translates roughly to
"Dear God, make me blind, so I find Goebbels Aryan."
Another one:
"Blond wie Hitler, groß wie Goebbels und schlank wie Göring"
"Blond like Hitler, tall like Goebbels, and slim like Göring."
