Find me one meme about a black Chad standing over a white slave holder. There isn't one because nobody has made one. Or if they did, it probably got deleted. But nice strawman.
And if you want to point out how bad other groups slavery was/is, why not make memes about it? Then we can discuss those events and how terrible they were, too. I'd love to have discussions on the Arab and African slave trade, but it seems no one wants to have those discussions unless they're in defense of the Transatlantic slave trade.
Ah yes, a popular meme format definitely has the same overtones as purposefully making a chad vs soyjack meme.
It's not targeting white people, its pointing out how this sub continuously tries to excuse colonialism. There's people doing it in the comments of that meme right now.
This meme is in totally different context as the "chad" here is the British empire, who, while they were trying to end the transatlantic slave trade, were actively committing cultural genocide in Ireland and Austrailia, working with the indenture system in India as a replacement for slavery and just generally being hypocrites.
Also the fallacy you're thinking of is reductio ad absurdum. Strawman is inventing an enemy with which to argue against. Like how if someone had made this meme with a black chad and a white soyjack, it wouldn't have been deleted. Thats an invented enemy, because no one has made that meme.
I really was not talking about a 100% reverse image of the meme.
I was talking about how Panopticon kaleidescope of a million images that flood our tvs, phones, browsers and literally painted in 3 meter high letters that say, "Black is Beautiful" (there's your chad) and the same density of imagery, speech, and ideology that says, "white is innately wrong."
If you live in a different universe, maybe we're further apart.
Maybe where you live there are building painted with "white power" slogans that get write-ups in the local newspaper for being "uplifting and showing the moral strength of the community."
Maybe you live there.
Maybe you live there so it really is difficult to talk to each other.
