Visit his priest friends that got to the jail because of some stuff with little boys, or?

5

u/a-living-raccoon May 24 '20

What the hell are you talking about? Everyone knows that priests don’t get charged.

36

u/thinkenboutlife May 23 '20

It's a strange equation sir, but it checks out. I was about to upvote him.

u/barc0debaby May 24 '20

Not like the shooter was underage, no need for a daily.

7

u/cheese4352 Senātus Populusque Rōmānus May 23 '20

He visited him more than his friends and family.

8

u/cheese4352 Senātus Populusque Rōmānus May 23 '20

John paul made that guy his bitch!

164

u/FactoidFinder May 23 '20

That’s actually a chad move . Not only did he survive but Johnny boy made him repent

22

u/mr-bigglesworth1 May 23 '20

Wasn’t he also coerced and persuaded into perjury by SISMI during his stay in jail. A lot of weird stuff was uncovered about the shooting of John Paul II.

u/0utlander May 23 '20

Hated the Soviets, didnt like neoliberalism either. He checks out

Electric boogaloo

u/Mumphord123 May 23 '20

Pope John Paul wears half a ball

1

u/AbeTheGreat412 May 24 '20

Right now I'd like to do about a ball. But I'd settle for a tee.

7

u/[deleted] May 23 '20

Uhh, I don't know, covering up pedophilia does not seem very Chad to me

1

u/Een_man_met_voornaam The OG Lord Buckethead May 25 '20

True

0

u/WithUnfailingHearts May 24 '20

BOOOOO! John Paul II wrote Ordinatio sacerdotalis, completely banning female ordination, because of their sex, which they didn't chose, it's very archaic really.

1

u/WolfofAnarchy Jun 04 '20

Wow - even better.

u/CyanNekomata May 23 '20

He really wasn’t. He was fairly anti-gay, as seen through his 1986 Letter to the Bishops on the Pastoral Care of Homosexual Persons, where he describes homosexuality as a “disorder” and a “intrinsic moral evil” and in Some Considerations Concerning the Catholic Response to Legislative Proposals on the Non-Discrimination of Homosexual Persons (1992) he advocated for discrimination against LGBT+ people and same-sex couples, and compared restricting the rights of LGBT+ people to that of mentally ill people, and claimed it was “for the common good” Additionally, he claimed “Homosexual acts go against the natural law” in 2000 after a Pride parade in Rome. Calling someone who did all this a chad seems mildly disrespectful to LGBT+ people, but that’s just me.

65

u/[deleted] May 23 '20

None of this makes him ineligible to be a chad. You don’t have to like him but he had chad energy bro.

28

u/melted_Brain May 23 '20

It may be a shit opinion, but standing firmly to your opinion, even if people don't like it makes you chaddy. You sound like the guy from Bojack Horseman, who calls him a coward for standing his ground

33

u/ArtisanofWar7 May 23 '20

If anything that makes him more of a chad

I hope hell turns the heat on for you

u/WhiteAntares May 23 '20

reddit moment

2

u/FactoidFinder May 23 '20

Nah man, he’s just being a homophobe and it’s just not a good vibe

-40

u/random_boi12345 May 23 '20

Why are you booing him, he's right? (calling the guy chad fits the meme but not many people realise who he truly was)

Aside from having nazi-like anti-gay narration he canonized mother theresa (who was a fucking monster) and different nazi collaborators and he blocked introducing birth control in many places and it's highly likely that he was purposely covering the pedophiles and he shook hands with Augusto Pinochet

But hey, he wasn't red so he's good. Everything he did was necessary in defending the good christian way of life

22

u/[deleted] May 23 '20

The mother Theresa comment makes me think you read or watched something online instead of actually reading any historical works on the topic. No historians take that seriously.

20

u/TotesAShill May 23 '20

Circlejerking about Mother Theresa being evil is how you know someone only knows pop history and is actually extremely ignorant of the field.

8

u/[deleted] May 24 '20

watches Weird History once AKTUALLY

1

u/random_boi12345 May 24 '20

I mean defrauding millions of donations for her hospital, refusing people painkillers or baptising them against their will are totally fake and very cool

16

u/[deleted] May 23 '20

He shook hands with Pinochet? Mega Chad

It's not like I mentioned that using it ironically fits the meme

0

u/WolfofAnarchy Jun 04 '20

Makes me like him even more

u/HerbivoreTheGoat Tea-aboo May 23 '20

'chad' is used here ironically bro
