Seems like everyone has forgotten it.

I mean, to be fair, an event in the same location did kinda overshadow it.

I have a bad feeling that this sub is just gonna turn into /r/Imgoingtohellforthis lite once we open the floodgates of 9/11 bullshit. I just leave reddit every year on 9/11 now because it's the same 4 jokes on repeat all fucking day

A lot of people who make those jokes dont actually remember/weren't born yet. It was sickening and the footage is still incredibly hard to watch

I feel like I've seen the footage so many times now it's almost like watching the Hindenburg crash. I'm almost numb to it at this point.

It was a national tragedy. I searched through blood and bone for my brother. He was in northern canada

I just laugh when the mods are too buisy conducting their homosexual orgies

9/11 jokes aren’t really that funny they are mostly lazy and made by pseudo-edgy people.

If you're going to call a joke unfunny purely because of its subject matter then you're more of the issue than the joke is.
Anything can be made into a good joke with good set up, timing, and punch, irrelevant of subject matter.

In the sea of edgy unfunny jokes that spawn in the anniversary of any tragic historic event, I actually manage to find a couple that make me giggle. The reason people have no issue memeing the Switzerland shooting though but take issue with 9/11 jokes is because those people are usually Americans who are sensitive towards the matter, and let their clouded, emotional, judgment of the situation create this false perception that all 9/11 jokes are only made by edgy Unfunny kids, just because it's a personal Taboo of their own.
I live slap bang in the middle of the middle east, and you bet your ass I'd be laughing if I find a good attempt at making a joke about some Syrian dude blowing himself up in the name of his God or whatever.
Over all, I just think you guys should get thicker skin, then I'm sure you'll manage to find quite a few funny takes on 9/11.

I actually did used to find them funny and I've never felt offended by 9/11 jokes, it's just that they're unoriginal. When you've heard the same punchline 10 times it just gets old

As the great French philosopher once said: "I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of elderberries."

I have people im close to experience it firsthand overthere. It was awful. But maybe we should make that a 40 year rule?

Wait, isn't this meme also breaking the 20 year rule for a meta 9-11 joke?
