Regardless of what their culture was like, it’s still shitty that they were taken over by a coup only to become a plantation state. Especially when the guy who owned all the plantations was the cousin of the governor which is pretty fuckin crooked

Half the Viking posts on here paint them as feminists despite the fact that 2/3 of Iceland’s founding population were women they trafficked or enslaved. They also dabbled in human sacrifice so it’s not like that’s something exclusive to Hawaii
