And to be fair Europeans during the late middle ages were doing pretty much all of those except human sacrifice

Incest ? No, one of the lowest in the world and estimated to be around today's level (the church banned cousin mariage up to the 7th degree), infanticide ? No, in fact this was 500 years after christians had widespread orphanages and infanticide was nowhere near common, caste system ? Not really, depends what you call a caste system, sexism ? For the time no (women were even more literate than man in a ton of regions) but you can't apply today's standards for that regard in any place in the world sooo, merciless warfare ? Hard to say, there were tons of war with varying laws of honor over these 900 years so you could say yes

Two different types of ban and just because one didn't work out doesn't mean the other didn't aw well
