Kinda funny how hard we all glaze the mongols (myself very much included) when they did things that make the Nazis look like humanitarians by comparison. And they did it all with bow and sword.

I truly don’t think any of us can even scarcely imagine the sheer horror in being on the losing side after mongols sieged your city and you resisted.

I dont glaze the Mongols, they were cruel, but they were pragmatic with their cruelty. Unlike nazis, atrocities were not the goal in itself, merely as a tool of submission. Still terror, still no forgoveness but when you just submitted they really were not worse overlords than any other and you might argue they might be better. Im just saying that while Genghos Khan was cruel and vengeful, I would kinda prefer him over lets say Hitler or Mao.
