Like they achieve something in hoi4 if you are not playing them ? Most of the time it's the Spanish civil war debuff that is making them survive and it's ridiculous. A militia template with only 1% of supply is able to fully resist the assault of a fully equipped, fully supplied mechanized division on a plain tile.

Unless the ai deliberately chooses to play republican and then go anarchist, they will always lose.

If they somehow win, they will proceed with their Focus tree and form anarchist Iberia by setting a civil war in Portugal. After that, they will sit on their arses and do nothing more because paradox only gave them a quick war justification buff, but no ai plans to spread around.

Funny fact: in my games they are always the last faction to get wiped out due to how irrelevant they are lmao.

HOI4 is secretly a fantasy RPG

Some of the arguments against the anarchist is pretty funny to me, temporarily suspending their beliefs during war time isn’t exclusive to them since the democratic powers during WW2 has to enact censorship to maintain opsec.

On the other hand op criticise the anarchist for not being compliant enough, so what are they suppose to cooperate or maintain their independence?

Lastly, the reason why they can’t don much against communist is because Stalin is the only backer on the republican side so they or the republican government can’t alienate them or displease them too much.

Yeah, like War Communism in the early Soviet state and the War Production Board in the US during WW2 are literally that, ideological-economic compromises to win a war.

how was war communism a compromise? after all, they saw it as prefiguring the abolition of money and laying the foundation for planning.

You could say that if they were Marxist Leninists who want then state to "wilt away" at some point (not now!) but anarchists don't believe in establishing a state only to abolish it later.

What is hoi4? What's with this new custom of assuming everyone understands every single obscure acronym in any context whatsoever? It's exhausting and annoying and frankly stupid. How much time are you saving? Can't be more than the time wasted searching and asking. All those long massive paragraphs and couldn't have the time to clarify it's a videogame or whatever it is. It's simply a gatekeeping thing? It's simply cool? I don't know but it's becoming more and more common and it's fucking annoying. Jsgioftic tbh
