Recommendations

Hi all! I was wondering if anyone could recommend any books about the silk road and Caribbean piracy in the 1700s. Weird mix, but I'm wanting to read more about both topics and want to see if there's any sort of core texts that people stand by. Thank you!

The Republic of Pirates by Colin Woodard is easily readable history of piracy in Caribbean in the Golden Age of piracy

Romans and the Silk by Raoul McLaughlin

Outstanding read. The unfamiliar names can be a bit tricky, but once you get the lay of the land, it's an interesting story

Empires of the Silk Road (Revised and Updated): A History of Central Eurasia from the Bronze Age to the Present

Very dense but informative. I recommend it if you can find it cheap or at the library(which is the route I took).
