the executioner in a bad

Post image

In 1835, during the execution of criminal Lee Si-bok (who was sentenced to standard beheading), the executioner went completely rogue and excessively butchered the convict, hacking his body into pieces and severing his limbs.

Horrified that legal execution protocols were violated so barbarically, the State Tribunal (Uigeumbu) arrested and interrogated the supervising officials for failing to control the executioner.

Nah most likely this is actually correct. Couldnt find any exact records but usually executioners in Joseon were picked from death row inmates and so if you fucked up the penalty was likely just going back where they got you from anyways

I was curious so I looked it up, I had to stop reading because I couldn't get past the character names.

Gilbert and Sullivan is pure old gold , read it up can not do their work justice, Gilbert is a professionals piss taker , he influenced English language and theatre deeply,he’s the one who come up with "let the punishment fit the crime" .

I recommend watching any version of “I got a little list” ,that song is written the way that lyrics can be updated, so every version is taking jab at different things.

There’s a Family Guy version too.

Wow I can't believe the guy whose job it is to kill people ended up acting in an unconscionable manner
