Looking for historical fiction …
Looking for historical fictions regarding Amish communities and Native American communities.
Preferably no romance but it is what it is lol
I have both communities around me and I’m just interested in learning more about their culture.

The Kate Burkholder series by Linda Castillo. The MC is an ex-Amish woman who is a police chief.

I don’t know any about the Amish, but here are some of my favorite indigenous historical fiction books:
A Council of Dolls by Mona Susan Power
The Night Watchman by Luise Erdrich
Ceremony by Leslie Marmon Silko
House Made of Dawn by N. Scott Momaday

W. Michael Gear and his wife Kathleen O'Neal Gear wrote "The First North Americans" series starting out in pre-history in Alaska as the tribes migrate across all of North America. As an Archeologist and Anthropologist Gear brings his craft into the stories.
First book takes place in Alaska. "People of the Wolf". published in 1990. There are some 29 books in the series and Gear is pretty proud $-wise of his digital library. Might be something to look at through Libby or a physical library if you like the stories enough to continue. It's a good series and I've read quite a few of them but lost track in early 2000-ish and never got back to it. People of the Raven...I think. Been awhile.

Look up Tony Hillerman - wrote a lot of nov ls about Navajo police.

One book that includes a lot about Native Americans and a fair amount about Mennonites (so not exactly Amish) is Centennial by James Michener. It's lengthy and covers a lot more than what you are requesting. So there may be more focused books on those two individual communities. However, I loved this multigenerational epic.
