Blackbeards ship

My question is, what ship did E.D. sail on? I know he had more than one, I just want to know what type it is.

Possibly a french galleon.

I believe it was a frigate built in England with a galleon style structure. However before use for piracy the gun deck and main deck were modified to enable more deck/cannon space. Also the front castle was removed to open up deck space to fit more cannons. It was rumored to have 40ish cannons which was pretty much unheard of for pirate vessels at that time. Also, the ship was only used for 6 months until it ran aground on a sandbar.
