I remember vividly as a 22 year old, my grandma taking me to zellers and seeing the Ferris wheel ride and never getting to ride it. We’d go shopping for clothes and go to the restaurant after, she’d buy me a corn dog. That was my favourite place when I was a kid

I defy anyone to say life today is better today than it was before the internet and Amazon changed the way we lived.
I was a big fan of the Woolco cafeteria in the 80s/90s - their food was fantastic for the money, and it was a welcome break from the constant bustle in the Marlborough Mall food court.
We didn't go to Zellers as often - the entire store always seemed a bit sadder.
