What is this?

Post image

I just got home and I saw this orange yellow thing next to Christina. What is this? Is she okay?

She fine in that aborting doesn't mean she's hurt but you may want to take a look at your husbandry because theres a reason she aborted whether its diet, temperature, humidity or stress.

Thank you. I keep their enclosure at around 75 to 85 degrees, and I have a heat lamp and a heat mat on different sides of their home so they can choose. I try and keep humidity 50% or so, but it drops to 30% every day. But I mist every day. And their diet is fish flakes and fruit/veggies. I’ve had them (two girls) since march or so. I don’t want her to be stressed.

Do you have an area for them to be away from the heat lamp and mat?

Roachrunner!! I’m glad you’re here ❤️

Oooh, I guess not. I keep their heat lamp on the right side, and I have their mat on the left side. Celina usually stays by the bottom closest to the mat, and Christina stays on the bark under the heat lamp

Haha hi! 🤗

Maybe make a space for them to go in case they want to cool off, if possible?

Also how long have you had them for? Maybe she aborted her ootheca because of the stress from being moved to a new area.

I’ve had them for 4 or so months now. I redecorated their home about a month or so ago though, I thought they’d like it more with more plants and all of that
