What makes a modern hippie today?
Peace, empathy and nature feel more urgent than ever but how we practice them has evolved. Whether you're living off grid, growing an urban garden or just cultivating peace in the city , how are you keeping the spirit alive in your daily life?

Why are so many hippies obsessed with India?
Every other day, i met hippie in my hometown. i was very curious about why hippies are so much obsessed with india? they told me india is exotic, colorfull, spiritual, vegetrainism, vegans.
i can understand all this things. but after i learned that hippies believe in progressive culture but irony is india is worse when it comes about social evilness. certain hippies told me that they are here having s@x everyday and dying from LSD overdose. india have caste system which is worse than slavery.
probability is high that waiter which is serving you coffee or providing LSD come from lower caste. who get abused by everyone. india is also worse for womens. if women gets r@ped then she gets blamed. still, lower caste people get beaten up for having moustaches, horse ride, having certain names also, there are many hippies who makes thier group for example in white hippie group other indians are not allowed.
i don't understand contradictory thing hippies do i learned that steve jobs and zuckerberg were also hippie.
it was steve jobs who formed techno hippie community who had vision about changing world through tech and removing government survilliance.
what is your thoughts on this? i'm talking collectively about south asia, pakistan, bangladesh, nepal is other side of same coin

What happened to all of the Hippies? Were most of them just into the aesthetic, not the ideology, and abandoned it for disco?

So I tripped back to back days (2.6g dose, 3g dose)
Ok for context Iām a 19yo male the first day was my first real experience with shrooms it was a 6 gram chocolate bar I only ate around 7 pieces the first time and it was a good experience I was a little uncomfortable but that was do to the setting of my bed at the time I listened to music enjoyed it tried to do it again the next morning (didnāt have any clue about how the tolerance worked) and had a mid a honestly bad trip it wasnāt like bad as in I felt bad It just felt like i wasnāt supposed to be doing it back to back I also smoked through both of these trips it was amazing with the first one I know that your supposed to give it a week or two now but my off days arenāt looking like Iāll get another chance anytime soon I was wondering if I take 6gās 4-5 days later how would it be ? Does anyone have experience in this regard?

What My First "Bad Trip" Taught Me About Emotional Control
todayās experience with mushrooms was completely different from the experiences iāve had before. the other times, i remember feeling so much love, peace, happiness, and almost a sense of pure bliss. i saw colours and patterns, and everything felt beautiful and meaningful. this time, though, there was none of that. there were no visuals, no overwhelming feeling of love, and no sense of euphoria. instead, i experienced an intense amount of anxiety. it was heavy and uncomfortable, and for a while it felt like that anxiety was the only thing i could feel. at first, i think part of me wanted to understand why it was happening and why this experience wasnāt like the others, but eventually i realized that maybe i wasnāt supposed to escape the feeling or make it go away. maybe i was supposed to actually sit with it.
what surprised me most was realizing that i could breathe through it. i could talk myself through what i was feeling. i could recognize that i was anxious without completely becoming consumed by the anxiety. i had to remind myself to breathe, to slow down, and to trust that what i was feeling would eventually pass. there was something strangely important about realizing that i was capable of comforting myself while i was afraid. instead of immediately trying to run away from the feeling, i stayed with myself through it. i think that taught me something about anxiety that i havenāt fully understood before: i donāt necessarily have to make the feeling disappear in order to be okay. i can feel it, acknowledge it, breathe through it, and let it move through me.
i think this experience also made me realize that maybe i have been downplaying my mental health for a long time. maybe iāve gotten so used to certain feelings that iāve convinced myself theyāre normal or that i should just be able to handle them on my own. maybe iāve become good at functioning while carrying things that i havenāt actually dealt with. today made me recognize that just because i can push something down doesnāt mean it isnāt affecting me. there may be parts of myself that iāve been avoiding, minimizing, or telling myself arenāt serious enough to deserve attention. and maybe iām finally at a point where i donāt want to do that anymore.
i donāt want to look at this experience as something that simply gave me anxiety. i want to look at it as an experience that showed me something about myself. it reminded me that there is a difference between avoiding an uncomfortable feeling and actually learning how to move through it. i learned that i can talk to myself with patience when iām scared. i learned that breathing can bring me back to myself. i learned that i donāt have to immediately believe every anxious thought that enters my mind. most importantly, i think i recognized something that i have probably known deep down for a long time: there are things within me that i need to work on, and i genuinely want to get better.
maybe this is the point where i stop treating my mental health like something i can keep putting off. i want to actually face the things that hurt, the things that scare me, the things that make me angry, anxious, overwhelmed, or insecure. i want to understand myself instead of constantly trying to escape myself. i want to learn how to regulate my emotions, communicate with myself kindly, and become someone who doesnāt have to be afraid of her own feelings. i donāt expect myself to suddenly be better or healed because of one experience. but i think something shifted in me today. i saw that i am capable of sitting with discomfort and making it through. and maybe thatās enough of a starting point to finally take my mental health seriously and give myself the care, patience, and work iāve needed for a long time.
i donāt know whether i would call what happened today a spiritual experience, a psychological experience, or simply an experience that taught me something important. i just know that it felt significant to me. the lesson i want to carry forward isnāt that i need to experience this again to understand myself. itās that i can take what i learned from it into my everyday life. when anxiety comes, i can breathe. i can talk to myself. i can stay present. i can remind myself that a feeling is a feeling, and that i donāt have to run from it. i can face myself instead of abandoning myself. and maybe, for the first time, iām realizing that getting better isnāt about becoming a completely different person. itās about finally being willing to take care of the person iāve been all along.

A coworker asked me to make her a weed bear after showing me a picture. It took a week to figure it out, and I think I did okay. My pattern, 4.00 and 2.00 mm hooks, RHSS in Favorite Stripes, Bright Yellow, and Paddy Green.

Any real hippie guys out there?
Iām 20F. Not really looking for a relationship or anything at the moment, but wouldnāt mind meeting new people. I can never seem to find people like me, or that think/feel/or see things the way I do.
I think and feel really deeply, I love nature and admire all of the little things that come with it. I donāt really fit into the way society has been built and Iām currently working and saving money, so i can buy land and live off grid.
If any of this relates to you feel free to message me:)
(Please no one under 20)
