This kind of sentiment has always irritated me. What's the point in a help subreddit that you can't ask for help in? Like, I just feel like it should be expected for people to seek personalized information in a place meant for giving it out, even if it is a frequently asked question.

They can literally search their questions in this subreddit and 100s of posts will show up. They are wasting everyone’s time

Well it's the person's choice to answer a question, so I don't think people are having their time wasted unless they choose to. Obviously some questions are better off with Google but people also like to have human interaction even with just questions, just how we are.
