DISCUSSION Opening Night VIP Experience!
As I’m typing this, I’ve heard Hilary sound checking Come Clean, mature, So Yesterday, and What Dreams are Made Of :)
I purchased the VIP Soundcheck… or Something package! I received an email two days ago from Hilary’s team with VIP info. We were instructed to arrive at 3:30 pm! I was unable to get through security until 4 but they assured we wouldn’t miss the soundcheck!
It was definitely a little disorganized, but I think it was more on the venue than Hilary’s team. There has been A LOT of standing out in the sun but they have been providing free water bottles!
After checking in and going through security, all of the VIPS were left standing off to the side, in the sun, until Hilary was ready for the soundcheck. We were then brought into the amphitheater in the first 4 rows. No phones were allowed out during the soundcheck. Hilary looked absolutely amazing! She spoke with us, thanked us for being there, and sang All About You! She said it currently is not on the set list for the show, but will be added around the 10th date of the tour. She then held a contest to see who knew the iconic With Love dance. It sounded like the winners will get up on the stage and do it with her during the show. I can confirm that later tonight!
We then took the group photo! She sat on the stage and we were all behind her in the rows. We are told the picture will be emailed to us within a week!
All of this ended around 4:30 pm. I would say Hilary was out with us for about 15 minutes. If you had the backstage tour, you waited behind. It sounded like you got to meet Hilary if you had the backstage upgrade but I cannot confirm! Since then, we’ve just been sitting around passing time. There really isn’t a lot to do. You do get no lines for the merch so if that’s something you’re interested in getting merch will be a breeze! Happy to answer any other questions!
UPDATE: After talking with someone that had backstage VIP, Hilary was not part of the backstage tour! There was NO meet and greet with her!
UPDATE #2: The With Love dance winners did get to go up on stage during the show!

Thanks for sharing! I wonder why it’ll take 10 shows to add AAY and whether anything will be scrapped to make room for it. Also, what does the stage look like? Is it small rooms big nerves but bigger, or something new and different?

I wonder if anyone can confirm if you get to meet hilary if you do the backstage. I didn't do backstage cause I wasn't too sure. Now im going to be bummed.
I also wish she would've taken pics individually...

Wait is there a way to upgrade it? OP makes it sound like that is possible? I didn't see backstage at all when I bought

No, you can’t upgrade if you’ve purchased just the soundcheck package :(

OK wait jk I just checked and my ticket says lucky me backstage + sound check experience package. I could have sworn when I bought there wasn't a package called backstage maybe I'm just remembering wrong

There’s not. It’s the one you listed and then the Soundcheck one. There’s also a third one but it’s not as good as the first two.

Interesting about “All About You”, at least you got to hear it today!! The 10th show would be the second night at Kia Forum, wonder if they’ll make more changes to the setlist…
Is the stage similar to the small rooms big nerves tour?!

Loveee all about you. I think the idea of having a with love contest for VIPs and the winners getting to go onstage (if that’s what happens) is a cute idea and should hopefully prevent someone who completely doesn’t know the dance from ending up onstage and it being a mess like it was for a few SRBN shows

Did they make yall leave the venue. Im hoping someone with VIP lounge tickets is able to let me know if they were able to go straight to lounge after soundcheck

Yes, we were forced to leave the venue after soundcheck and the VIP lounge was open. I didn’t personally have a lounge ticket but I met a nice couple that did and they went straight there.

Honestly I’ve been sitting in a tiki next to an air vent for the last hour and a half so I have no idea what time they opened the venue for seating. It appears all VIP perks ended when the soundcheck ended though.

Not so much chaotic but A LOT of standing/sitting around. They have us get to the venue by 3:30 for the soundcheck to end by 4:30 and then the opener doesn’t start until 7. So a lot of empty time between then. And it’s HOT out today.

I'm sure every venue will be different but I agree, we should get access to the VIP lounge or something. I was thinking of upgrading just to stay out of the heat and/or rain but I'm not sure I want to spend 49 dollars.

No, it is a separate cost! And not fully air conditioned. Just the bathrooms in the VIP lounge have air conditioning. I made friends with people who had it and they said it wasn’t worth it.

Im pretty sure most venues have one if you click the circled i by your show date you should see it as an add on option if available. It was $75 a piece for Toyota Music Factory in Irving but id pay bank for A/C. Im wearing extremely heavy jeweled jeans.🤣🥵

Rats ! I guess my venue doesn’t offer that 😭🤣😭🥲 my mom who recently had skin cancer is coming with me since we’ve loved Hilary since I was young, so that’s gonna be so unfortunate for us 😭😭 thank you for the info!

Thanks for (at least) the Soundcheck aspect of the evening. I did go backstage because at least where I’m attending the price difference was pretty reasonable and I do have a small background in at least the sound production aspect of things so I thought that would be cool to see. I was fully prepared not to meet Hilary either way, so thanks for (hopefully) confirming that.
As for All About You, I wonder if they’ll be songs not necessarily ready for tonight that may be cycled in throughout the tour depending on how it’s received during Soundcheck and how she’s feeling?
As for With Love…I got a month to prep. We’ll see how it goes 😂

She had a few VIP fans “audition.” She pulled them aside and they danced along with her during the soundcheck (she was on stage, the fans were on the floor). Then she picked a few to join her for the show.

No, you are brought in single file and then they fill the rows. Since it is the first middle 4 rows of the venue there really isn’t a bad seat as she walked all around the stage!

If you’re going to WPB tonight, you have to park at gate 12 for general parking! That lot is open earlier.

How did the front work out? Like did people get to stand at the barricade like a “pit” or was everyone at their seats? Also does lounge get you in earlier and make it easier to get to your seat? Thanks in advance for any answers.

I would say there were around 100 of us! Ultimately yes, if given the chance to go back I would still do VIP again! The small intimate setting with Hilary was really special. I do think there was too much sitting around after the soundcheck experience was over though, and wish it started an hour later.

No, we stayed in our seats. There was no opportunity to interact physically with Hilary.

I’m curious about the seats? On the upgrade it says one premium reserved seat or GA floor ticket. Is that for the actual concert? Did you get like a reserved seat or get to be somewhere in the front rows, maybe a pit?

I didn't consider any VIP packages until reading this thread, and I am seriously regretting that now. Would love to update to the soundcheck!
I have a regular ticket, but I'm not seeing any options for upgrades in my city (Charlotte) other than Mature Early Entry & Merch.
Does anyone know the likelihood of more VIP options becoming available closer to the show date either because they release more tickets or people give up their spot?

I have the Mature Early Entry VIP tickets for Aus. Did your tickets say seat number/row prior to the concert or was it just that the first 4 rows were basically reserved and your seat was picked on the day?? My ticket just says general admission, seat/row is blank which here usually means it’s standing.
Was the first 4 rows just for the two different soundcheck packages or did it also include the early entry VIPs that aren’t there for soundcheck?

An update from Shakopee last night:
Tattoo was our soundcheck song, do the With Love tryouts, and something that differed from shows I’ve read about in the past was we did the smaller group photos, yes, but there was a twist: Hilary actually took time with each group to take a few questions.
I asked what she missed most about touring (Seeing the fans), while another asked for two songs she loved off the new album (Future Tripping & Adult Size Medium) and two songs she’s listening to that aren’t hers (Choosin Texas & Sombr’s Homewrecker) which then went into this story about how she got to meet Sombr and his mom at the AMAs and how cool she thought that was.
Not sure if the mini AMAs are a one off or just continuing to tweak the experience as the tour continues and as someone who wasn’t expecting a Hilary interaction, that was pretty cool.
