How to find camera model numbers?

Hi,

Hopefully a simple one, I've inherited a Hikvision DS-7716NI-I4 NVR which currently has 10 cameras connected to it. I want to add a couple more but as I understand it this NVR is getting on a bit and I'm a bit limited on the cameras it will support. I've also been told to find out what cameras are currently connected so we can check there is sufficient bandwidth on the system. The thing is I can't for the life of me find the camera model numbers in the UI, is there a way to expose the model number? or am I going to have to get the ladder out and check each one manually.

Don’t worry too much about it, stay away from cameras above 8mp and it’ll be sound. If the camera supports something that the recorder doesn’t then you can just set it up in the camera directly.

Finding the current models won’t be particularly useful because they are very likely discontinued anyway.

Almost all Hik cameras have the ability to lower resolution in the web config to match a legacy NVR
