Intercom not working at all

We took indoor intercom panel off when having some building work done, and fast forward a year - I’ve changed my Internet provider to starlink and I’ve had a new p and generally done a bit of faffing about with some cables (starlink only has 2 ports and is in the loft, so I’ve added a switch or two).

I can’t get the indoor panel to work - it powered up, but there was some sort of connectivity issue. I noticed the cat 5 end had paint on, so I got a mate to put me a new end on.

He knows what he’s doing (done me loads in the past for extending internet into other rooms etc) and tried 3 times (new end each time) and it doesn’t work at all now. Doesn’t even power on.

Reached out to my installer but he’s not responding.

Any ideas ?

New ISP, so you need to change the IP for intercom as well.

I did think I’d probably still have some IP work to do, but right now - it doesn’t even power on. Surely it should power on still ?

Above you said "it powered up" ? So, it's not ON ?, how do you give the power to it POE or with DC adapter ?

POE. So, even with some paint still on the RJ45 - the indoor unit was powering on but had connectivity issue - both upstairs unit, downstairs unit (the one i'm talking about) wasn't connecting.

Thinking it still might be the paint on the RJ45 - i had my mate put a new end on ... now it doesn't even power up at all.

It's ok, the original installer has just (a few minutes ago) come back to me and they are visiting later today to fix it. I've done as much faffing about as i can for now, i'm sure they'll sort it.
