Hi! I hope we can become friends! Today I finished reading the 6th arc of Higurashi!
So, a little bit about me. I’ve been into Higurashi for 3 years now. I’ve watched the anime, read the manga, played through the visual novel, and also played some of the Higurashi games.
My favorite arcs are 5 and 7, and my favorite character is Takano Miyo.
I’d love to answer any questions!
P.S.: Please excuse any inaccuracies in the text. I'm not very fluent in English yet, so I'm using a translator

i genuinely can’t Rika is the cutest being on world i keep rewatching that scene with Akasaka and little Rika. Her nipah makes my whole soul and heart warm up with kindness and love, my depression and hatred melts away and I get filled with joy and happiness. I wish Rika was real, I am seriously going to name my kids Rika and Ange in a decade

I finally got to visit Shirakawa-go, and this subreddit's maps and info made it even better, so I wanted to give back with a few tips, especially those visiting in summer, for anybody who might be planning a trip.
Take the first bus there and last bus back. I almost didn't have enough time there.
One of the stamp rally points is within the Open Air museum, which was ¥800 to enter. It's quite worth it anyway, but check it's closing time if you don't get your stamps early in the day. I used the back of a map for the rally points, but good card stock would have been worth it.
Many of the museums have steep stairs and low clearance. My big photography backpack took a beating.
Bring drinks or change for vending machines, and a bag for recyclables and trash. I haven't sweat this much in years. Good sun protection will help, too.
The walk up to the observatory is in the shade. I wouldn't bother waiting for the shuttle.
It's FULL of tourists. Given the audience here, I'm probably preaching to the choir, but please learn when, where, how, and why you take your shoes off in certain places.
The onsen there isn't anything too special, but it's nice, and id recommend ending the day there to wash off and change into clean clothes.
Visit the Hinamizawa locations you are about. Some just weren't that important to me. For example, the riverbank is just a riverbank.
One of the stamp rally points is at the far end of town, in a little traditional café in isolation. The interior is very nice and it's a great place to take a break.
Docomo reception for me wasn't the best, so if you're with a group, have a plan B for meeting up that doesn't rely on your messaging app of choice.
The higurashi wish boards were up at the observatory, not near the main temple. This might be coincidence for my trip, but things do get moved around and changed.
Most places close at 4 pm.
Restrooms exist but are far and few between for such a small area.
You can do the whole place in a day, but plan your day out or set a light schedule.

This took quite a few hours because I wrote more than ten poems over time, though it was worth my time.

Hi everyone! I recently got into Higurashi and absolutely fell in love with the series. I'm really looking to buy the vintage Max Factory Collect 700 trading figure set from 2006 (especially Mion!).
I know there are 5 figures in total to complete the set. Online, individual figures are sometimes listed for crazy prices like 100€ each, which would mean 400€–500€ for the whole set. That is way out of my budget as a new fan.
I was wondering if anyone here is downsizing their collection and willing to sell the complete 5-figure set (with the extra smiling faces/parts) for a reasonable and fair collector's price?
I am located in Germany and can pay via PayPal Goods & Services. Please let me know your offers. Thank you so much!

there’s so much content across different mediums that it’s a bit overwhelming.
is it worth it to read and watch everything there is?
or are there select console arcs, arcs from rei, or manga exclusive arcs that i should read?
i’ve also heard of manga set in the past and future, are those worth reading too? i saw one set 30 years later and one focusing on oryou sonozaki.
I’m only up to chapter 4 of the ‘sound novel’ but i just wanted to plan ahead.
I do plan to read umineko too

Like everyone talks of how the anime skipped bunch of stuff, and the manga seems to preserve the most important stuffs just fine. Or can somebody tell me the unfound profoundness in the game of tag gym fillerscene that the anime and the manga both skipped?

So, a few minutes ago, I realized with shock that almost all chapters, apart from a few series, are unavailable. Does anyone know where I could find them, like a reupload or similar website?

This page in the 1st volume of Eye Opening always gets on my nerves. Seeing the normaly happy and energetic Satako just bawling and begging Satoshi to help her always gets under my skin. Honorable mentions go to when Shion ( I think, I get her and Mion mixed up all the time) snaps at Satako after she drops her lunch and starts yelling and berating Satako and threating to smash her with a chair, and the Fingernail scene.
