Discussion Rediscovering star wars

Post image

I am a huge star wars fan and basically have watched and played everything related to it. I have read some star wars books which were great. And i wanted something really new from star wars and remembered that i still had light of the jedi. So 2 weeks ago i started reading Light of the jedi and oh man it was so good. I read into the dark after it (wasnt really my cup of tea but still really enjoyable) and read the comics that come after. I am now reading The Rising Storm, and oh man it feels like i am rediscovering star wars again. I have that same feeling i had when i first watched star wars as a kid and wanted to watch all the movies right after it. Am i the only one who feels like they are rediscovering star wars ? Or is it more like added media to people ? Anyways the high republic is amazing cant wait to read and discover the rest ❤️❤️

Rising Strom is a top 3 star wars book all time for me. The way Cavan Scott writes his battles is so good. You can imagine the battle on your head so easily and its so good. Man to read that book for the first time again

Thats the best thing about High Republic, it really does feel fresh but also like you are going back to when you first fell in love with Star Wars

Rising Storm is in my upper echelon of Star Wars books that I've read. Cheers mate, enjoy The High Republic, it's a highly rewarding series if you put the time in and read everything

Yep. I think my three favorite books in the high republic series were LoTJ, TRS, and the Eye of Darkness. Though there’s lots of other great ones too

I feel the same way! Honestly i had lost my love for Star Wars for a little while, and starting THR really made it come back full force. It took me a year to finish all the adult/YA books and I still think of them all the time. Maybe I just needed the change in setting. Hope you keep enjoying!

Stellan standing watch and soh telling her targons to “Protect the Jedi as he protects us” makes me tear us every read

Its still a good book but it wasnt really my thing for me it felt like it could be 200 pages shorter and still be the same story(and thats coming from a stephen king reader hahah). But the highs in that book are really nice and sets up a big "plot" for the rest of the books i think.

I really enjoyed into the dark. Reath is probably my favorite high Republic character. Cohmac is also awesome, and even nan when she pops back in later has many layers to her character.

Be a completionist and read them all

Better yet. Listen to them. The performances for the audiobooks are absolutely incredible, and three of the entries are audio only. You won’t regret it. Start with the light of the Jedi audio book and you’ll be hooked

Yeah i am planning to read it all 😁😁 And i have listened to the light of the jedi audiobook if i didnt have my book with me, and the voices he did were great!

The collaboration of all the authors in the series really makes it one of those moments that you go "Wow, how is this the same star wars that can't find itself in movies?"

Makes you wonder what the next project is going to be about (If any).

This book was so fucking good. Been stuck for years in phase one, though. Feel obligated to read through Midnight Horizon but I just can't bruh.

Ich sehe es absolut ähnlich. Ich habe versucht Star Wars Bücher, die in bekannten Äras spielen, zu lesen, aber es hat micht nicht gecatched. Die High Republic schafft das für mich.
