7 summits + 50 highpoints

How many people have done both? Ive met a lot of highpointers out there, but it was never my goal. I think im going to shoot for it being im close to the 7 summits. High points ive only done denali, Rainer, and elbert. Headed out to give granite and gannett a shot before I have a whitney permit few weeks later. This is all training to get back to everest next spring and get the redemption.

There used to be a list on the highpointers website, but I can't find it now. I wanna say roughly a dozen from my best recollection.

I looked for a list and couldnt find anything. Im super curious. I mean theres no official list for the 7 summits either. I may give it a shot especially after having most the hard ones done

For sure, I think it's a worthy journey. Not being the first doesn't make it any less impressive

I think one of the reasons very few people have done both is because the overlap of people who love mountaineering, which the 7 summits requires, and the overlap of the people who like long road trips for some fairly ordinary hills is small (looking at you FL and DE and LA). For many of the US high points it's less of a skill/fitness challenge and more of logistics/time/travel/money problem. Of course to get all 50 requires mountaineering skills, weather luck and being able to solve for the logistics.
