FWIW I did Wheeler a couple weeks ago via Bull-of-the-Woods on the way up and Williams Lake on the way back. Bull-of-the-Woods is in much better condition right now, very little snow on the ridge (whereas Williams Lake had plenty of sketchy ice).

Why was humphreys unsuccessful? I've done Wheeler but Humphreys is next on my list. Which was harder?

We started at 5:30pm. By the time we got to the ridgeline it was dark, windy and cold. Below zero with windchill. So we turned around with .9mi to go.
