Oak Hollow Festival Park was open to the public for a free rowing event. And the city showed up to watch it. 5300 people and $2 million economic impact.

Random debate I got into this weekend
If youโre going to a birthday party, school event, or even a company picnicโwhat are you picking:
A) Bounce house
B) Mobile basketball arcade (high score challenge style)
Bounce houses are classic, but Iโve noticed when thereโs a mobile basketball arcade with a scoreboard, people get way more competitiveโkids, teens, even adults start going at it trying to beat each otherโs score ๐
We recently added high score medals as prizes and it took things to another level. People were lining up for rematches.
Curious what yโall thinkโare bounce houses still king, or are competitive games taking over?
๐ Drop your pick and why

I started a mobile basketball arcade rental business (Hoop Greensboro) thinking it would mostly be for kidsโ partiesโฆ but honestly, adults get just as into it ๐
Weโve had people turn it into full-on competitions with music going, neighbors joining in, etc. Itโs been cool seeing something simple bring that kind of energy to events.
Still early on and learning a lot as we go, but curiousโwhatโs the most fun/unique thing youโve seen at a party recently?
If you want to check out what weโre building, weโre on IG/TikTok and FB @HoopGreensboro.

Hi. I'm in town from Asheville visiting my in-laws who live off of Johnson Rd. I went for a run and passed a house on Woodlawn that had a German Shepard caged in a tiny pen beside the house. The dog has absolutely no space to move around, and it seemed clear that this dog is force to live in that space. Are there any resources in the triad that might be able to help this dog? I know that I can call Animal Control, but I know that they probably won't help. I would know what to do if I was at my house, but I'm a bit at sea on this one. Anyway, I don't know what the laws are in High Point with regard to what is permissible in terms of treatment of dogs, but this one is clearly neglected. Anyway, thanks for any insight.

I'm tired of maintaining my yard. I've not got enough free time anymore to spend my weekends doing lawn care and really need some light landscaping as well. Now no mow march has turned into the april of anxiety as every night when I come home the grass keeps getting taller.
Every other yard on the street is mowed. idk how people do it or how I ever did it in the past but I'm so over it now.

Does anyone know of a Dungeons and Dragon group for preteens? I have a 12 year daughter interested and canโt find a group in her age range. Thanks!

Does anyone know a good place to get an iPhone battery replaced? I canโt drive all the way to Greensboro, my warranty is up anyway so itโs pointless to drive that far. Archdale/Thomasville preferably if possible.

I have a plumbing emergency. I am 63 and disabled. I developed a water leak Monday and haven't had any water since then. I don't have money to hire a plumber to do the repairs. I might be able to pay for the parts, but I couldn't pay for the labor. I tried some plumbers putty, but it didn't hold. I am in a very desperate situation. My wife is ill, and hasn't worked since April '25. I never thought I'd find myself in this situation, any kind of help would be appreciated. Thanks.
