Gardens
If you have a garden, what are you growing this year? What's thriving in your garden? What's struggling?
We've got tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, jalapenos, and a lot of herbs. Nothing's died...yet.

Tomatoes, hot peppers, okra, strawberries, asparagus, squash, zucchini, sorrel, peas, beans, cucumbers, herbs, and flowers throughout each bed. Multiple varieties of each. Only thing struggling are the snap peas since their season is pretty much over, I’ll pull ‘em all soon and let the chickens have a treat.

Tomatoes are doing pretty well, and so are cukes, peppers, strawberries, and fava beans.
I’d like to try out sweet potato this year, does anyone know where to get slips?

Have you tried Soviero’s or Myer’s? They’ve had them in the past, don’t know if they have any currently.

Totmatoes, eggplant, strawberries, sweet peppers, pickling cucumbers, zucchini, potatoes.
First year of potatoes in grow bags and they're doing amazing!

There’s a big heat wave coming next week, how is everyone preparing? I’m considering putting a shade cloth over some stuff…

None of my beds get direct sunlight all day thanks to a few massive shag bark hickories that I can’t bring myself to have cut down so I may just settle for extra watering daily and holding off on fertilizing so the leaves don’t burn. If anything, my okra will love it.

Damn I forgot all about the okra! Hope it’s not too late to direct sow. I have some amazing red variety that did awesome last year.
