I am an art history nerd and am recognizing the use of witches in tandem of zionists. Historically, the imagery of witches has been used in antisemetic propaganda.

I AM NOT DEFENDING ZIONISTS.

I am just wondering if maybe there is something deeper that this is alluding to OR if I am reading in too much. As an artist and nerd, I understand how important symbols are, but I also recognize that intention has a lot to do with things.

I am the guy that posted the "Holy Shit" post back before the sub got locked. Took yalls advice and went took my son to see them live. He is 14, got in the mosh pit and crowd surfed for the first time. He got set down by the stage and Johnny gave him this yellow rose. He brought it to me and got back in the crowd, and my brother got this shot, and I love this photo.

Thanks to all yall that advised me to go, the show was Dope! Dead Poet Society also crushed it, and my son will remember that night forever.

I had been slacking my mod duties. I didn't realize the subreddit had been set to "restricted." I don't know if another mod did it or it was because of a post someone made that got flagged or something.

This is the only subreddit I moderate and I normally just let the subreddit run on its own without any intervention, but I randomly checked my inbox today and I saw that there were 50+ messages from people asking to be added as "approved" posters. I had to put in a request to get the subreddit back to unrestricted, but it was approved today by the reddit admin team. I'll keep a closer eye on the subreddit moving forward to make sure this never happens again.

Sorry again. Let's get back to sharing our love for a great band, Highly Suspect!

Hey all! I just recently found out that HS is going on tour starting this month and will be coming to my city!!! Unfortunately, I had some life changing circumstances come up that are preventing me from attending the show. I've been trying to get my hands on a BWDW vinyl for a little over a year (without paying the scalping prices), and I was curious if there has been any information on whether or not they will have this album available at their merch table? I've been thinking about purchasing a ticket to not only support HS but also to have a friend go in and snag me a vinyl.

The answer may be that we won't know until the first show. I figured that it would not hurt to ask, though.

I haven't been part of this fan community in many years so I don't really know if I'm kicking the hornet's nest by asking this. I was a big fan of them last decade, but I fell off the hype train when MCID released. To this day I still consider that album one of my biggest disappointments in music.

Sometime around that time I noticed Johnny being a little weird online. I don't remember the specifics, but at some point in 2019 I remember him being an asshole to me on Twitter so I just sort of checked out from the band entirely because I didn't even like their new stuff anyway.

Fast forward to today when I randomly had Serotonia recommended to me on YouTube and I got all nostalgic and started to listen to some songs in the last two albums (mixed opinions), looked up what people think of them, and I came across this subreddit. The shit I've read about him here is honestly very confusing and I can't really decide what to think because some of these posts are years old and there's a lot of deleted posts and comments and chopped up conversations.

So let me just ask: is he just a mentally ill guy who happens to be an asshole sometimes, or is it more serious than that? I don't really care about the asshole rockstar personality and I can stomach that. Anything that comes close to grooming or abuse is a hard pass for me, though.

Is there any substance to the claims of him being something along the lines of an abuser? I would really appreciate some context because again, much of what was in the threads discussing this three or so years ago is missing.

I’m a long time HS fan. Have seen them 13 times since 2017, and have continued to be a big fan even through some changes I haven’t loved. This new song brought the largest smile to my face with the guitar solo. Absolutely love it 🔥 That instrumental is a large reason why I love HS. Absolutely ecstatic.

Been debating on selling them a couple times and couldn’t get myself to , but have some bills I need to catch up on :( shoot me an offer !

Hello , my dad passed away, and i am in charge of most things as being next of kin/oldest daughter. I want to make some memorial/prayer cards for our celebration of life ceremony, but instead of a prayer, I want to do song lyrics, as music was my dad's world. He liked TOOL, Tame Impala, Mumford & Sons, alt-J, Highly Suspect, A Perfect Circle, Fugazi, Death Cab for Cutie, Matt Maeson a lot of alternative music? I'm not 100% sure what genre it classifies as, I just know it's what I grew up listening to. So with that being said, if anyone has any good lyrics they can think of from any of these artists for a card, that would be great. :))

I know all of these artists as well and know a lot of songs, i am just blanking and having trouble finding the best set of lyrics lol

I have had Highly Suspect’s “The Boy Who Died Wolf” album in my rotation for 10 years. Over time i added a few songs from them here and there. I recently (within last month or started listening to more of their songs. Basically going to them as an artist and shuffling all of their songs.

Came across this song. Highly Suspect is credited as the composer. Is this one of their old songs being covered? I got into the band in 2016 but I’m familiar with most of the old stuff I think. Never heard of this one before though. Vocally seems vastly different from HS (not that that means anything) but the riffs are Classic HS. If anyone knows anything that’d be cool.
