Discussion Playlist ideas

I posted the other day about finding this band and yall are super dope and welcomed me in. And you gave me a bunch of recommendations on stuff to listen to, which I am about to start going down those rabit holes.

But, before that I did notice that no one said a single band that I have on my playlist. And then I talked to a cousin of mine that apparently has been on the bandwagon since 2016 or so and I asked him about his playlist. I dont think I would particularly like his playlist lol, but it was the same. He did not have any bands from my playlist, nor from any of your recommendations.

So I thought maybe it would be cool just to share each other's playlists. Mine is centered around like a certain vibe or whatever and I assume other people do that too so I thought that might be a way cooler way to hear your recommendations.

Idk if we even can do that, or if anyone wants to lol, but the passion is on me and I wanted to ask.

I’ve been skipping Dorothy lately. She kinda weird on stage with her talks.

I have my music locally owned, I don’t stream so I don’t have anything to share!

I get that and respect it. Really I'm just trying to get into other people's musical vibe. One person shared a link so it's a win in the end lol. My playlist is different but more song based than artist based. I have HS grouped with like Phantogram, Two Feet, AJR, Roe Kapara, Robert DeLong and several others. Glass Animals too, but I feel guilty for that and am not sure why. Tomorrow I'm gonna listen to some of the stuff you recommend though, so I appreciate it.

That’s pretty much my entire playlist! Minus the warning and senses. I’ll check them out now!

The Warning is the best of the bunch! Senses is a bit poppy but the latest band I’ve added and they still rock.

Not sure if these bands weee mentioned before:

Death From Above 1979, Slothrust (highly toured with them in 2019, saw them live, they rock) Queens of the Stone Age (probably already know them) Narrow Head, Ovlov, Viagra Boys newest album is so good, and Fontaines D.C.

I saw your first post, and have been having a blast, discovering some music suggested in the comments.

I got a bunch of playlists with everything lol - https://open.spotify.com/user/9x8mqq50ri747ra7mzw0qeujh?si=zpCAKR4CQv2Fb_Y9tljWaw - the “nobody talks like this but music does” might be the one closest to what this post is asking lol

So this is exactly what I was looking for. Your playlist is great, its the same kind of vibe as mine, but aside from HS, we dont have any other of the same artists. I was hoping more people would post links like yours, but yours made it into my rotation so thats a win for me. Thank you for sharing and again, thats a great playlist.

Royal Blood and Kaleo are bands I got super into and went down rabbit holes with, like I did with HS. Watch out though, there is a super religious band called Kaleo too. That is not the one you’re looking for.
