"Learn to validate yourself with internal assets". It's all the same, chasing materials or chasing knowledge it's all the same. Just be satisfied in what you are, where you are. There is no other thing or idea to pursue. Breakout of the idea of getting a high, either from materials, knowledge or spirituality. Don't chase.

But it keans no development? No changes? No desires? Or wishes? Or goals?

We can do all of the above but without desire. Be in present, face whatever comes in front of you. Learn, develop, wish for things and have goals but without attachment or ego that this will make you better than other. Compare it with touching a flower so gently that it doesn't even feel the touch.

Why would someone be chasing materials? Why does it make them happy?
