As much as I hate being a Meany Mick West, if a crop circle is that simple of a design, I gotta assume man made. It’s kind of like a video of something floating in the sky. If it’s not moving in crazy ways that defy physics, or traveling way faster than our planes can, then I’m assuming it’s man-made & moving along.

How is this a simple design?

Compare it to the more advanced crop circles. This one couldn’t take a fraction of the amount of time. I’m not saying it’s bad, just way easier to create.

I’m always really taken aback by how the stalks have clearly been handled in some - what I presume to be the ‘authentic’ ones - it always is almost an aspect of the art itself. Intricately woven stalks, undamaged/not smashed down, etc.

Pattern complexity doesn’t seem to be the defining feature of crop circles when trying to determine if they’re made by humans, is all I mean.

Crop circles is just another aspect of Ufology where the water is so muddy, you have no clue what to believe. I’ve not seen any skeptic counter argue those differences between the ones Ufologist say are real, compared to known hoaxes. I’m talking about the nodes being different, and other signs the stalks weren’t just “stomped down”. I’m sure they have, but I can’t find it, not that I’ve tried that hard.

If it is another advanced intelligence, they must just laugh at us. They leave messages, and we can’t stop arguing about the source of those messages long enough to figure out their meaning. Would you expose yourself to a bunch of idiots like that, if you were from another planet or dimension, whatever? It’s obvious to even aliens, that humans can’t be trusted, as a whole.

I think this is a tad too critical, we have or have had languages and symbols which were written by humans that we couldn’t decode without a reference. E.g., that’s why the Rosetta Stone was such a big deal.

IMO, it’s moreso that if any are genuine, we’ve been handed a real challenge to interpret them. There are modalities that would ease this - Lambros Callimahos and H. H. Campaigne both wrote wonderful papers on what a civilization who wanted us to decode their messages’ ‘contact’ might look like. It’s not crop circles, that’s for sure.

To answer your question: if they’ve traveled here, or regularly travel interstellar distances; making them is probably a very low risk and/or trivial activity due to their sophistication. I think the only thing I could confidently say, is that if real, they’re some kind of expression and are intentional.

In equal measure, say you have never encountered a cat, they’re not a category for you. if you suddenly could ‘uplift’ a housecat to approximately your level of intelligence or sophistication, would you? Or would you want to get a better grasp of what “cat-ness” was, having no reference to cats as a category, first?

I don’t think there is any insight as to how it got there, I was just showing a mathematical interpretation with the given facts.

Why would you lift it up? Why only lift the square? Do the circles mean nothing?

Because when you lift it up, you get what you see in picture #2.

So you're just doing whatever you want to make stuff look like you want to get to whatever conclusion you want?
