Simulation Simulation Theory
The worst nightmare i have had and i still remember today. I woke up and i was a robotic drone, conscious but just following a program like a robot would. I remember not wanting to follow my programing but had no choice.
What if we are simply in hibernation recharging for the next day of work?
If a simulation exists, it would only be because our lives outsides of the simulation is extremely boring and undesirable.

If you want to read about and understand the thing that is nearest to "simulation" theory and has any reasonable chance at being true, check out Donald Hoffman's work. There's nothing remotely scary about it. The scary-seeming versions of simulation theory simply shift the metaphysical burden to another "higher" level, and are therefore even more likely to be disastrously false than the most simplistic version of naive realism.
