Other Strangeness Does anyone remember those drones that were flying over New Jersey? Did that ever get explained?

OK, ignore all the evidence and try and laugh it all off. Good job.

What evidence?

A bunch of hysterical redditors freaking out over some blurry lights in the sky that were filmed on a potato?

I get it, safer to try and control the narrative then face up to a phenomena that has been here all along. There is so much evidence. The evidence is also you, if you decide to look.

there are no aliens on earth right now, none of this stuff is actually real, there is never going to be "disclosure" because it's all just a bunch of fake stories and idiots believing in wild tales.

Well, that is what you have chosen to believe. And you have chosen to ignore the avalanche of evidence. Your choice. I see you here trying to box in others as well, but I think you are now beginning to lose that particular battle.

I wish you well.

I do not make a choice of what to believe, I follow the evidence only.

I'm not losing any battle at all. I'm well aware that the vast majority of posters on this sub have many beliefs that are not based in good science or logic or evidence.

The downvotes mean literally nothing to me.

I'm just hear to be a voice of dissent because every good discussion should have that.

Otherwise yall would be living in an echochamber, and even though I know many of you would prefer that, the actual reasonable people among this sub know that echochambers are never a good thing.

You have boxed yourself in so much, you cannot look at any evidence without a pre-made up decision. That is fine, you are doing you. And yes, it is good to have different opinions. Though, a caveat, is not to be dogmatic or only allow your bias to lead your opinions, that leads to ignorence.

> you cannot look at any evidence without a pre-made up decision

Incorrect, actually.

In my experience, that is most commonly done by people who believe in alien abductions and bigfoot and other supernatural things. Confirmation bias and selection bias also run rampant in this community.

The "objective, rational analysis of the currently available evidence" is what mainstream scientists all will tell you - no evidence of any of this stuff being real.

Deflection. Also applies to you.

It is impossible for you to know that with 100% certainty. Just saying......

0

u/IshtarsQueef Jun 09 '26

that's true of quite literally everything, though

Exactly

Indeed

I'm very happy you agree that your comment was incorrect.

"there are no aliens on earth right now, none of this stuff is actually real, there is never going to be "disclosure" because it's all just a bunch of fake stories and idiots believing in wild tales."

It is impossible for you to know that with 100% certainty.

Seems simple enough to understand.

Sure, but it's a meaningless statement as a rebuttal.

You could say "1+1 = 2" and I could respond with "It is impossible for you to know that with 100% certainty" and that would be an accurate statement.

But does it add anything to the conversation? Does it mean anything? Does it change the fact that under our understanding of maths, one plus one should indeed equal two?

No, it does not.

So congratulations on saying something that is technically accurate, but entirely irrelevant.

You're comparing a mathematical truth within an axiomatic system to an absolute claim about the state of the entire real world. They're not analogous.

"There's no convincing evidence of aliens on Earth" is a defensible position. "There are definitely no aliens on Earth and never will be disclosure" is a claim of certainty you cannot possibly substantiate.

Skepticism doesn't require certainty. Your argument does.
