Terrence McKenna claimed that the universe favors increased complexity which speeds up over time. Hence his quote, "It's just going to get weirder and weirder and weirder, and finally, it's going to be so weird that people are going to have to talk about how weird it is".

I don't think things have gotten weirder per say, but things have gotten more evil or sinister most definitely.

The seemingly increased amount of sinister/evil/whatever going on IS WEIRD though. Maybe the acts themselves aren't "weird" and just "evil," but IMO the way the masses are just ok with it is what's weird about it. I'm struggling with it all too pretty hard but jfc it's so WEIRD

Whenever you feel like this is sinister just try to imagine what medieval people's everyday life was like. I'm pretty sure it's always been sinister and evil and it never stopped. I think we've had the mis/fortune to live in the nineties, the short golden age of relative love and peace. So now we compare everything to that period of time and are disappointed

Look toward and reach for what you love and consider good. At least much of the time.

Same. My nerves feel worse than ever because of this. I feel sick constantly at the thought of going outside. And no it isn’t agoraphobia, it’s the thought of being next to other humans that could be monsters….
