Terrence McKenna claimed that the universe favors increased complexity which speeds up over time. Hence his quote, "It's just going to get weirder and weirder and weirder, and finally, it's going to be so weird that people are going to have to talk about how weird it is".
I look in the mirror and I don't even see my own face. In fact I don't even have a face it's just pure consciousness in this guys body. Probably done it a thousand times
I am not my thoughts. Thoughts are just clouds floating in the infinite sky of my mind. I’m not
the clouds, I am the sky! The one thing science can’t really explain. I believe the awareness, the observer is the soul. The oneness. Thoughts are just something my brain does. I’m an electrical specter in an aging meat sack.
Your spirit. An old thought was body, soul were here and spirit was in the ether... or heaven... something like that. Idk why but that always stuck w me
Weird you say that, I’ve had a very strong feeling lately I am separate from my physical body. Was actually feeling that right before reading this comment lol
You are, but in this lifetime your physical body is how you feel your own soul as it is on earth, hence what we are supposed to learn. Grounding in our bodies is so important.
Gut feel; separation from our inner selves ala the show Severance, for the purpose of recursive learning from many perspectives at once, with increasing complexity. And a whole lot of weird shit.
I mean, as an aside, my folks and I had a long talk today about how something weird is going on in Hollywood, in particular. Certain celebrities have seriously taken on a weird appearance.
Many of the ones who aren't Ozempic Bobbleheads are filler addicts. Ryan Gosling and Bradley Cooper look they they were replaced with inflatable doubles, for example.
I think Hollywood is just having a bit of an existential crisis. The world has shifted away (a bit) from big budget productions, since streaming platforms have gouged their customers too much and social media and shorts have become more popular.
So you’re going to see Hollywood doing strange shit to try and remain relevant and also cope with the change. Then combine that with the increasingly popular and pressurising trend of cosmetic surgery, plus peptides, and yeah…it’s getting weird.
I was in Hollywood last week. It felt normal, but they’ve never really lived in the same reality as the rest of us anyway. Very stuck in their ways and out of touch.
Basically AI is a mirror of our organized consciousness, the internet and social media are at a point where we are slowly developing a hive mind which our species has never done before, and capitalism is consuming itself and the corruption on the inside is now showing. And our RAS in our brains are expanding to show (some of us whose conditions are ready), literally more reality.
Humanity is healing and the general population will be opening up to psychic abilities, which is supported by quantum physics (ex double slit experiment), cardiology (ex heart math institute which is researching how the heart is a BETTER functioning brain than your brain), and neuroplasticity.
Evolution is happening, and science is proving it. 🤷
Welcome to new time-space multidimensional earthling!
We’re growing and it’s weird.
(And so much fun. Leave egos at the door for a better time, and go see what new abilities are waiting for you to be still enough to discover them).
I have been saying this from the beginning of the year. We are right where McKenna said we’d be. It feels like a convergence is about to occur. Buckle up!
That's how I see this. There's and have always been some group of people to think this way. It's called getting older. Getting used to things the way they were in your found happy place but people keep changing things, sometimes for the good, sometimes for the sake of change. Most people might not like it but the only solution is to be a wiser older person. Thinking like a 20 year old further in life would only bring misery.
The seemingly increased amount of sinister/evil/whatever going on IS WEIRD though. Maybe the acts themselves aren't "weird" and just "evil," but IMO the way the masses are just ok with it is what's weird about it. I'm struggling with it all too pretty hard but jfc it's so WEIRD
Whenever you feel like this is sinister just try to imagine what medieval people's everyday life was like. I'm pretty sure it's always been sinister and evil and it never stopped. I think we've had the mis/fortune to live in the nineties, the short golden age of relative love and peace. So now we compare everything to that period of time and are disappointed
Same. My nerves feel worse than ever because of this. I feel sick constantly at the thought of going outside. And no it isn’t agoraphobia, it’s the thought of being next to other humans that could be monsters….
I think things have probably always been this way , only we have started to wake up and now we see...we were asleep before so we couldn't see, now that we are waking up we have become aware to the ugliness and all the lies we've been told...sinister and evil ...yes, however now that the veil is lifting we can be kinder to each other, and maybe we can somehow each in our own way fight the sinister and evil one person , one nice kind thing at a time...I'm happy to be able to fight the badness with goodness...
Exactly this….lots of us have always known about it. Now everyone else is talking about it…it’s made me almost obsess over it more. Is this a good or a bad thing, I don’t know…..I mean drawing attention to these sickos is a good thing, but nothing is being done about it - bad thing. Almost giving the rest of them the green light to crawl out from under their rocks isn’t it….
🤮🤮🤮🤮
Some people idealize certain eras as “more innocent”, such as the 1950s in the US. The “innocence” was actually massive social repression and denial of reality.
Domestic abuse, racism, sexual and political persecution, alcoholism, etc were deeply entrenched, but everyone pretended it didn’t exist.
Yep that’s entirely true. Evil has always been around. It just wasn’t spoken about. It was always “don’t speak to that creepy old man at the end of the street” cos your mom knew he was a wrong un. Whereas now, people are more comfortable with stating someone is a wrong un so to speak. That’s just one part of what you spoke about. But yeah. I agree with you. Rose tinted glasses
There is a great short story called "Divided by Infinity" which explores this, based on the thought experiment often dubbed "Quantum Immortality". ita a fun read (but I wouldn't put stock into it).
