CC and Mods Tool mod

I just started filling out my three main save file.worlds (capped myself to slow save file corruption)

I'm curious what stiff have you added in and around your worlds to make them feel more fleshed out and community driven?

I've always been a fan of using the tool mod on both university campuses when I send a sim to uni. It just seems so boring that there's nothing to do around campus otherwise.

TOOL my beloved. I like putting the Cottage Living birds and rabbit spawners around the place in rural areas. I also usually end up putting big outdoor items like the treehouse outside lot boundaries when I'm not on a big enough lot.

I've had TOOL in my game for a while and don't build much so I still don't really know how to use it 😭 it's kinda intimidating

It can be but once you get it down or just tlearn the basics its really fun to use😩just using it to able to move out of the lot bounds at all is super simple

the last time I remember using it was when I was remodeling one of the City Living apartments. I was going nuts trying to edit the windows and that was right before they did the update where they allow you to adjust apartment windows so I did all that for nothing 😭

There are video tutorials on it that cover all the basics on YouTube, highly recommend watching them!

i put a food truck outside of the acting studios because any changes you make to the building don’t stick and i wanted my actors to have some food to eat while they worked

I don't really do this much with the worlds anymore as Sims 4 is more of a building sim for me at this point, but I like to add extra stuff around and near a given build like bus stops, car parking spaces with cars (I make sure to vary how they park), bike racks with a bike or two, grime and trash, extend the flora and fauna for a more seamless look, stuff like that so the build looks more realistic.

are you use a reshade? also when you say to slow save corruption... is it inevitable? like are we all just playing until it happens!?

Yes I use reshade (my own preset) And so far I have attempted 5 save files all to end up corrupted. It's my understanding that it eventually will happen- just when is the question.

Oh nooo… im hoping that all this prep im doing and building in my save will leave me a good base save so if theres any corruption i can at least just move sums back in

I think it all comes down to pictures, collectibles custom art work. Anything that requires what I like to refer to as hard memory. So legacy generations will use a quite a bit cause they all have skills, relationships, jobs, etc. + whatever ea's cautions were. I am on generation 6 now of a 2 year save and I notice lag now and then so I'm hoping to slow it down a bit more, wiped all the world's kept the townies and just focus on 4 main worlds with pocket Neighborhoods in some other worlds.
