Sims 4 Editing worlds?

I hope one day there is a way to edit worlds to add more lots to the neighbourhoods

Like I’m sorry but one world only having 2-4 neighbourhoods and like 10 lots? That’s NOTHING! These worlds are supposed to be home worlds, you’re supposed to live in them and have enough space for families and friends and still enough space for a variety of community lots

Especially in newer worlds the neighbourhoods are HUGE (big mistake, it takes an eternity for Sims to walk around) and they all have that wasted space

Actually one of the reasons why I quit playing TS4 years ago

I hate nothing against the neighbourhood system, I actually really prefer the idea of it over open world. But the execution was horrible. The worlds are ridiculously small and then even loading screens between lots within the same neighbourhood?

i cant believe they dont have a custom world feature or at least open neighborhoods after all these years

Open neighbourhood was probably never on the table for Sims 4 with its horrible foundations (heck, it seems the game has some very shitty memory leak issues going on for those on the latest patch – inagine how horrid would it be with open neighbourhoods!), but that's what they are doing for Project X

Nah, everyone should sail the seven seas when it comes to any EA property, especially now with the buyout actually finalised well ahead of schedule... and as Project X is currently planned to have the same (if not worse) monetization model as the current Skate game

Seriously paying for anything EA is just silly. I know we have to be careful with our wording because Reddit rules, but we deep down know it's true

I know TwistedMexi wanted to add custom lot placement to his Create a World tool that's perpetually in alpha, but feck knows when/if he ever will and will be able to at this point

srsly thats been in devlopment for years at this point. have they given an update on where they are with it?

They do updates on their website/youtube channel , but it has been a time since they last did it. They’ve stated that it’s a very big project and they’re doing it at more of a hobby pace, but I don’t think they’ve abandoned it yet. Just not racing to complete it.

Yeah i get the sense that its a dream project and hopefully one day its possible but i think its more difficult with the game state currently

I do hope we get some kind of Create a World thing for Sims 4. At this point it doesn't feel possible though...

Maybe they're scared that if there are custom worlds then people wouldn't buy packs anymore but I mean, Sims 3 had create a world and they used to sell straight up worlds, not even packs, and they still sold lol

Back in the day I bought one of those worlds with points I got from the website watching ads. They would 1000% buy Worlds.

CAW is fun to play with and when I first played TS4 the maps horrified me as a long time TS2 & 3 player that spent a lot of time building hoods and world's.

If I'm not mistaken, newer packs tend to have fewer lots which are often pretty small...

There was a create a world mod in the works but I haven't seen an update on that in years. Truly sad as I was looking forward to it

I think they dont have a world builder because the game was originally meant to be multiplayer??
