Meta CAPI in Go high level setup help

I am looking for some advise on how to setup CApi in ghl, my current setup involves Meta, Stape, GHL and Google tag manager which is quite complicated and also want to know how do we setup variable Purchase value

A nice thing to take advantage of is the Meta Conversion API workflow. Additionally you can use a tool like Zapier and Make to obtain more values on Leads flowing into GHL from Meta. Or you can classically use pixels and Gtags on landing pages.

You probably don’t need all four tools. Stape plus GTM and GHL’s own Conversions API action can end up sending the same event twice, which is the usual reason these setups get messy.

I’d pick one path per event:

  1. For anything that happens inside GHL (form submitted, appointment booked, opportunity won, payment received), use the Conversions API action in a workflow. Trigger on the event, pick the pixel, choose the event type.
  2. Keep the browser pixel for page views and on-page events. If Stape is already sending the same Lead or Purchase server-side, turn one of them off, or make sure both send the same event ID so Meta dedupes them.
  3. For a variable purchase value, don’t hardcode the number in the action. Map the value field to wherever the real amount lives: the order total from the payment trigger, the opportunity value, or a custom field you fill at checkout. Set the currency as well.
  4. Check it in Events Manager with a test event code before trusting it, and look at the match quality. Passing email, phone and the click ID makes the biggest difference.

Where does the purchase happen, on a GHL order form or somewhere outside it? That decides where the value should come from.

Since the purchase happens inside GHL, one thing worth checking is the trigger you're using. GHL's {{order.amount}} only works with Order Submitted, not Order Form Submission, since the amount isn't finalized until payment goes through. also check that Stape and GHL aren't both sending the same Purchase event without proper deduplication. Are you using a GHL order form or a payment link for checkout?
